ENTRY TO THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
The Government Council of Galapagos uses the Transit Control Card (TCT) to monitor the time of stay of visitors on the islands. The TCT is mandatory for all travelers and has an additional value that must be paid before your trip to the islands.
The Transit Control Card (TCT) costs USD$20.00 and must be paid in cash at your departure airport (either Quito or Guayaquil) before checking in for your flight to the islands. Visitors must approach a booth designated for this purpose at the airport with their airline tickets to obtain the card.
The Transit Control Card (TCT) can only be paid in cash. Other forms of payment are not accepted.
The entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park (PNG) depends on the age and nationality of the traveler.
- Foreign tourists (without Ecuadorian nationality): Over 12 years old pay USD$100.00 and children 12 years and under pay USD$50.00.
- Tourists from the Andean Community and Mercosur: Over 12 years old pay USD$50.00 and children 12 years and under pay USD$25.00.
- Tourists with Ecuadorian nationality: Over 12 years old pay USD$6.00 and children 12 years and under pay USD$3.00.
The Galapagos National Park (PNG) entrance fee must be paid in cash at the Galapagos airport (Baltra or San Cristobal) upon arrival. At the arrival airport you will find a stand designated for this purpose.
The entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park (PNG) can only be paid in cash. Other forms of payment are not accepted.
WHAT TO BRING?
Although the Galapagos Islands are located on the equator, the temperature varies during the year between 18°C and 30°C (64.5 ° F and 86 ° F). We suggest that you include light clothing, a windbreaker jacket, sports shoes, a bathing suit, a sun hat, and sun cream in your luggage.
The amount of cash you should bring depends on the duration of your cruise, however we suggest that you bring enough cash to cover the following expenses: transit control card (TCT), entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park ( PNG), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, wetsuit, tips, etc.
Few navigation itineraries offer free time in the main ports and towns where you can find ATMs to withdraw cash. We suggest that you bring enough cash with you to cover any additional expenses you may have during your trip.
ON BOARD EXPERIENCE
Travelers of all ages are welcome aboard the Anahi Yacht Catamaran. However, children under 18 must be accompanied by their parents who must sign a disclaimer form.
Yes, we have high-speed internet (Starlink) at no extra fee. In case of emergencies we have a satellite phone as well as all the security equipment required nationally and internationally.
In the Galapagos Islands the telephone signal is very limited. Although at certain points of visit there will be no telephone signal, in the main ports of the islands you can have access to telephone signal. We suggest purchasing a national SIM card to have greater telephone coverage.
According to regulations of the Galapagos National Park, it is strictly forbidden to smoke at visiting points. Similarly, smoking is prohibited on board the yacht due to the risk of fire and accidents.
All our cabins have:
- Windows with ocean view
- Private bathroom
- Hotel lingerie
- Daily maid service
- Sustainable amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and antibacterial gel)
- Hairdryer
Our standard cabins measure 16m² (172ft²) and are located on the main deck. Our suite cabins measure 25m² (270ft²) and are located on the upper deck with panoramic views.
Our jacuzzi is turned on, for safety, only when the boat is at anchor (this means that the boat is NOT in motion).
It is located on our upper deck (open-air) so its availability is subject to weather conditions.
In the same way, we request that passengers inform during the morning briefing if they require the Jacuzzi since it takes approximately 30-40 minutes to prepare it.

PAYMENTS ON BOARD
All our tours (of 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, or 15 days) include: all the meals indicated in the itinerary, coffee and tea station, purified water dispenser, excursions mentioned in the program, transfers to and from the Anahi Yacht Catamaran, bilingual naturalist guide (Spanish / English) certified by the Galapagos National Park, and mask + fins for snorkeling.
All our tours (of 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, or 15 days) do not include: meals not indicated in the itinerary, additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, domestic and international flights, entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park, Transit Control Card, personal travel insurance, tips for guide and crew, surcharges for increased fuel costs, and wetsuit for snorkeling.
All our tours include a permanent coffee and tea station as well as a purified water dispenser. Any other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink have an additional cost. Prices may vary but generally cost between USD$5.00 and USD$10.00 for non-alcoholic beverages and beer, between USD$10.00 and USD$15.00 for cocktails, and between USD$30.00 and USD$60.00 for a bottle of wine.
Although the rental of a wetsuit is not mandatory for snorkeling, we suggest doing so because the water temperature can vary between 18°C and 24°C (64.5°F and 75°F). Below the costs for wetsuit rental:
- Itineraries B1 and B2 (8 days): $ 50.00
- Itinerary A2 (5 days): $ 30.00
- Itinerary A1 (4 days): $ 25.00
The uncorking value varies between USD$20.00 and USD$40.00 according to the alcoholic beverage consumed on board.
Debit or credit cards (except American Express) with a minimum consumption of USD$50.00 or cash (only American dollars USD $).
Tips for the guide and crew are at own will and represent additional income for the local families of the crew members. If you want to leave a tip, we suggest the amounts per person as described below:
- Itinerary 4 days: crew $50.00 and guide $30.00
- Itinerary 5 days: crew $60.00 and guide $40.00
- Itinerary 8 days: crew $100.00 and guide $60.00
- Itinerary 11 days: crew $130.00 and guide $80.00
- Itinerary 12 days: crew $140.00 and guide $90.00
- Itinerary 15 days: crew $160.00 and guide $110.00
